newly commissioned fermentation chamber

Post by MitchD73 » 5 years ago

Hi all, I've just finished building a fermentation chamber using a chest freezer, stc-1000, and heating belt. I'm anxious to brew my first lager but I would like to avoid anything requiring more than a month of lagering time for my first time. Can anyone suggest a good extract/partial mash recipe that finishes in about a month, or suggest a style that would lend itself easily to what I am aiming for?
Thanks.

What about trying one of White Labs blended yeasts? I use WLP080 Cream Ale blend. It is an ale and lager yeast. It took about 3 weeks to ferment out for me.
