You can't leave your homebrew in primary forever! Let's talk about storage.

Canadian Tired CO2?

Post by Impending Disaster »

It's me needing help (again).
I noticed that Canadian Tire says on their website that they do CO2 refills. I take that to mean for paint ball. I usually get my 5 pound tank filled at a fire extinguisher place for about $35 so I'm thinking CT might be cheaper. I know an adaptor is needed to run a paintball tank in a regular C02 regulator, but does one need an adaptor to get a home-brew tank refilled at paintball places, or should it be good to go?

I am not sure if the Can Tire co2 is food grade. The guy at our local farm store said their co2 refills are not food grade. Also, some paintball co2 may have some oil in it.

Thanks for reminding me about them, Dave. I emailed their contact person in the spring, got one reply and then nothing and I guess I didn't get added to their mailing list for whatever reason. They sort of fell off my radar screen. I emailed them again.

I do know Crossman CO2 cartridges have an oil in them for paintball guns. Don't use them  , it tastes awful.
Some mistakes are too much fun to only make once.
