How to reasemble a Sanke keg

I had built a kegerator some time ago at home and now that I'm starting to brew my own beer, I thought why not keg it?
The system I have right now is setup for Sanke kegs though.
I did alot of reading and found tons of information and videos of how to open the keg, turn the keg into a kettle, fill a keg, but nothing on how to reasemble a Sanke keg. That little snap ring is a bugger!
So for those who were in the same position as myself I shot a quick video of how to put it back together pretty easily.
If you needed more couplers I found this site that has them for $14.99 http://www.ontariobeerkegs.com/product_p/sanke.htm

Hope this helps.

That video was easier to absorb than the little wing intro, lol.

I wonder how they do it commercially....the sankey fitting, not making money playing guitar.

Ah come on, little wing is easy. You just put your fingers a couple of places on the guitar and hit the strings. lol I wish I made money playing though, it would help me amass a brewery faster.

From what I've heard they fill the keg with a caustic solution without removing the snap ring or spear.
There's systems you can buy to clean sankey kegs, but they are about $600+.
I'll spend the 1 minute to remove that snap ring over $600 any day. lol

Hot linked this off the IHB site main page under Information: http://ihomebrewing.ca/ It will probably move at a later date to a separate information/learning page.

This is a frequently asked question, and I wasn't planning on making a vid...

Thumbs Up to Sixstring78!

I have a couple of 1/4 sanke kegs I haven't used yet. I'm set up for cornies and really don't want the hassle
of trying to clean a sanke keg and making sure it is clean and sanitary.
