Bottled a Pilsner after Gelatin

Some people say it works, some say no. Mine did. I used a 1 L PET bottle and it is now very carbed after 2 weeks. Since I only have one bottle, I'll wait for a month before sampling it. I did use enough corn sugar to get a C02 volume of 3. May be high, but I wanted to see how the carbonation is after a few weeks. I won't bottle a batch until I get it to where I want it. Those 8 cases of Steam Whistle bottles in my basement have been sitting empty for a couple of years now.

Checked the bottle today and it was very carbonated. I guess I added too much corn sugar. Better open this with a towel over the top. I am glad that it carbed so well, so at least those bottles will get filled this winter.

I cracked it open and it was quite carbonated. I won't carb up this high with glass bottles, but I am glad it worked.

What was your gelatin process?

Add 1 teaspoon gelatin to 250 ml boiled and cooled water. Cover and let it sit for a few minutes. Put it in the microwave @ 20 seconds intervals. Quick stir and repeat until temp gets up to around 145 F. Add to cold beer for a few days. Done.
