Really early (or late) Christmas

A friend of mine on Facebook dropped me a line last week, he's a properly manager and in cleaning out an abandoned commercial space he came across 4 used Soda Corny kegs.

He had no use for them, and wanted them out of his space...so they are now mine. They look to be in decent shape from the pictures he sent me. I pick them up later this week.

Now I need to clean them out and test them for leaks. Any tips on that?

Cheapest way to see if they hold pressure: get the correct quick-disconnect
for the style of keg, and, Mcgiver onto a bicycle pump line. Pump to 30 psi and let hold for a day. if it holds pressure, you're a winner. I fnot, you've not lost any cO2.

Thanks, I never would have thought of that even though I am a cyclist and have 3 or 4 bicycle pumps lying around my garage. I feel really silly now.

I also have some spare connectors for ball lock, so I know what I am doing this weekend after I clean the kegs.

You can always fill your tub up with water, pressurize the corney, and submerge and check for bubbles- if no bubbles its good to go.
