Chico --> Sandra Gowan is growing plenty of cultivars in Winnipeg. You should be able to grow them too. :)

If you have it in a pot, I've seen some people burying the pot after they cut down the plant and then take it out of the ground again once they're through the thick of it...

I bring my plants in my garage during the winter chicco -- perhaps next year I will find a permanent home for them in my back yard (but they really seem to like where they are positioned right now). Great tips Warthaug, I will keep this in mind as I go forward -- I have been using soil for my backyard composter for my garden and hops with great results so far. I will post more updates as they grow. Cheers
