Mash Tun advice

Post by Poet1971 » 1 year ago

Hey everyone,

I'm just going through the process of choosing equipment. I am thinking of the Mash King mash tun. Does anyone have any feedback for me. I am thinking I will get the "true trap" false bottom. But I could also get the Bazooka screen. Are there any merits or drawbacks to doing both?

Thanks for the feedback

I have a igloo cooler mash tun with false bottom and it works great for me. I almost wish i hadnt bought it thiugh as i am moving to a herms system, and slowly converting to electric. The cooler can be used in an electric set up, just a bit harder to ground.
In the fermentor: Cherry Brown Sour, Raspberry Sour, Golden Sour
Tap 1: Root Beer
Tap 2: Vienna Märzen
Tap 3: Lil' Runt Mild
Tap 4: Brown Sour

Yeah Reignman. That's where I was eye balling them. In fact I put together a healthy order of equipment. But then thought I would hold out for a few days so that I can put it on my new points card when it arrives. I hope it stays on sale for a bit. The only thing better than beer is traveling for free to taste beers from other places. :)
