I am having a hard time sourcing heavy duty electrical wire for 500 w elements. The link on Kal's site goes to Amazon in the US and of course they don't ship to Canada. Amazon.ca sells it in 50 foot lenghs, but I only need 25 feet max. Here is the link.

I haven't gone to Home Depot, but will this week. Anyone buy this wire in Canada?

Duh!! 5000 watts
Re: Sourcing 10/3 Wire
I'd look at the nearest Home Depot. Barring that, there must be an electrical wholesaler near you like Gescan or EEcol. They would both definitely sell it by the foot.
Re: Sourcing 10/3 Wire
HD had it. $9.49/ metre. Thick stuff. The twist lock plugs are quite expensive. $35 - $45. I only need 3 or 4, haven't decided yet.

Re: Sourcing 10/3 Wire
Anyone else looking can look at places like Guillevin Intl or Westburne if their Home Depot doesn't have it.
Mmmm... Beer... *drool*
Re: Sourcing 10/3 Wire
Thanks Dave for the link to differences with the code numbers. I don't do a lot of electrical work and that is why I am still alive.

I got mine at PA.
Was $1.50/ft when I bought, 2 years ago.

Peterborough doesn't have a PA but we are getting one.
