Alberta only beer in Ontario

Post by Doc_Drive » 2 years ago

Hey gang!

How would one go about sending a few kegs of beer made and sold in Alberta to a private party in Ontario?

Any ideas?

It should be as legal as possible! Haha

Cross province carriage of alcohol is being discussed in parliament now. Leftovers from prohibition.

Alberta has no provincial limitations but Ontario has a 24.6 l limit and only for personal consumption. Also 3l spirits and 9l wine.

It may even be cheaper to have the beer store get it.

Not quite kosher, but I'd say put the kegs in boxes on a skid and ship it refrigerated... It'll cost an arm and a leg, but I can't think of any other real option to get full kegs from AB to ON.

Have you considered just buying an Ontario beer that has a similar profile?
Mmmm... Beer... *drool*

Next best option: Get them a clone recipe.
I've never understood the policy against "necro threads" on almost every forum. Why tell us to use the search function for a particular topic, then complain when an older thread has a new post in it?

Hmm... well I'm supposed to give a talk at the German Embassy in Ottawa and I'd really like to have my own beer there.. :) especially since it is an event to celebrate (again!) the Reinheitsgebot. This time in front of a Bavarian delegation.

... I just realized how twisted this whole thing is. Haha
