Movie stuff .. Armchair Critics Corner

Post #1 by Diceman » 7 months ago

A few sites gave ... Suicide Squad ... bad reviews but I just watched it and I thought it was pretty damn good .
Although this is not a Will Smith movie .. Smith played a main character in this movie . I was not very impressed with the last few ( Will Smith ) movies , but the is a scene and a few lines that made Smith shine in this one .
Joker .. the teeth .. super creepy .. awesome !

Overall , I give it a thumbs up .
fermenter : high gravity fermented Vienna Lager , re-fermenting with abbey ale yeast . kinda experiment .

Agreed. Not my favourite genre of flick, but it was pretty good. Went with my nephew.

Agreed about the joker. Jared Leto was awesome

I still havent seen it. Reviews scared me away. Anyone see magnificent 7 yet?

Best movie i have seen in a while: Sully
Tom hanks didnt manage to steal the performance because eckhart did a fantastic job in the costar role.

I want to ask the movie company for money to compensate me for the time I spent watching suicide squad. Unadultured crap, through and through. Superhero movies, in general, seem to have gone downhill the past few years (deadpool aside). Sully was good. New jason bourne movie was good. The dozen or so childrens movies I "had" to watch over christmas with my little man can roast in hell (inside out was OK; the rest kinda merge together into a colourful mess of pain).

Most pleasant, unexpectedly good surprise of 2016 for me was "Hell or High Water." Outstanding, highly recommend. Similar feel to "No Country for Old Men," but a little less draggy, and more of a "heist" feel.

My wife and I enjoyed Hidden Figures, Fences and Patriot Day. There are lot of great movies out there, but as always some real stinkers.
