Manitoba Cider

Is there anyone here from Manitoba that can help me find a good local cider provider?

And While we are at it, I want to make plum wine, is anyone has any idea where to get cheap plums from... that would be great too!

Thanks!

I know this is old but I am trying to find the same thing. I sent a couple of e-mails out to these two people.

They both have booths at the St. Norbert Farmer's market so I am hoping to pick up the Juice there in the fall.

John Boy Farms got back to me with this:

This year we have cider available through the summer (using apples from western Canada). The cider using Manitoba apples will start in fall (probably mid September this year). So depending on your preference we pretty much have cider all year long now. As for pricing, if you purchase one or more cases (12 in each case), the price is $7 per 2L jug (or $3.50/L). In other words a minimum of 24L for $84.

If you give us enough of a lead time, we could put the cider into 4L jugs which would save you another few cents per liter on packaging (maybe about $0.15/liter less). Also, picking up at the farmers market is no problem at all - you'd just have to let us know ahead of time.

Thanks,
Jean-Guy
