Wyeast 1335 Pitched too cold

Pitched this the evening before last and still havent seen any signs of activity. Pitched at probabky wort temp of 15 so it was below the recommended temp. Raised the temp in my garage and checked temp today and it is still about 17, so still below temp for this yeast. I raised temp again and will take a gravity tonight to see if anything is happening. I have some american ale ii on hand that i can pitch but it needs a starter. Should i hold off on building the starter and let this ride, or get a starter going?

Should say this is a red ale and without looking i think it is around 060

Still sitting at 1060. 19 celsius. Going to grab another in the morning before i start a starter.

Make a starter? I would at 1.060.

Ambient is 19, beer is at 21. Bubble every 2-3 seconds now. So I got lucky. Forgot to dump my sample from last night though! It is chugging along as well!

The longest I've had to wait was around 4 days for activity to begin in a mead where I accidentally pitched expired yeast. It also has happened a few times with beers, either the temp was too cold or the yeast itself wasn't all that great. It always turned out okay, though. I'm glad to see your beer is well on its way. It looks nice!
