Hi from BC

Hi.

Would be brewer here.
I enjoy strong IPAs, Red Ambers and dark ales. Full bodied beers with a lot of flavour.
Since I enjoy drinking them the next logical step for me was learning how they are made.

Cheers everybody.

Welcome :)

This is a great book to start off with. It is online, but just recently updated and available in most book stores.

Welcome

+1 to reading Palmer's book (in print or online) it's probably the best resource out there for someone who's new to brewing and covers everything from extract-based brewing to partial-mash and all-grain.

Welcome bcbeerlover. I've only been here a short time myself. See you're in the north - how is getting brewing supplies or is it mainly online. I'm in Vernon and finding the local brew stores have a somewhat limited supply of the items I want.
Cheers

Sorry pedgaro - didn't see ur response. Ordered from Hopdawgs - good response time. Ordered wrong size thermometers and they were very accomodating. Drove out there and they exchanged them on site. I'll have to check out Gambrinus Malting. Cheers

Hi.
Sorry I haven’t been back on in a while.
I haven’t gone looking for brew supplies in the north yet. It’s a pretty small market. I anticipate ordering from Edmonton or Vancouver as neeeded.

Thanks for the book suggestions. I will check I out.
