Hello from Twillingate, NL!

Post #1 by Split Rock Alex » 4 months ago

Hello everyone! I work as a bartender and brewer-in-training at Split Rock Brewing Co. in Twillingate, Newfoundland and Labrador. I've brewed once commercially thus far, we brewed a Cream Ale. I just ordered my first two 5-gallon extract kits from Everwood Ave Brew Shop in Halifax at the recommendation of our brewmaster, Matt Vincent. I ordered an Extra Special Bitter and an IPA.

Matt is going to allow me to borrow his homebrewing equipment to get my feet wet. And as I get a better understanding brewing commercially at Split Rock as well as extract, BIAB and full mash brewing on his 3 vessel system, I plan on getting my own homebrew equipment and making my own recipes.

Really looking forward to starting my first homebrew batches, and looking forward to learning more about homebrewing as a member of the forum!
